India’s External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj is in the news again for her heroics. Dr. Ramamurthy Kosanam, an Indian doctor, who used to work with the Lbn-e-Sina Hospital at Sirte in Libya, was abducted by the local Islamic State militants almost 18 months ago. This is not the first time that Swaraj has done something to help Indian expats living in the Middle-East and elsewhere in the world. This is indeed praiseworthy as she is becoming a hero for these Indian expats.

Few days ago, an Indian techie was shot in the US by a doped criminal. Swaraj made sure that the boys’ parents living in India get justice. The gunman who killed the boy was arrested within a day or two. There are many more of such instances when Swaraj has gone out of her way to help the Indians living abroad.

More power to you Sushma Swaraj!
