Union Minister G Kishan Reddy on Sunday emphasised that the Central Government remains committed to uplifting marginalised sections of society through targeted welfare schemes as part of the nationwide events to mark the 650th birth anniversary of saint Guru Ravidas.
Speaking to the reporters, Reddy said, "The BJP is organising programs across the country to mark the 650th birth anniversary of Guru Ravidas. Inspired by his teachings, the BJP government, under the leadership of PM Narendra Modi, is continuously serving the nation's poor. We are moving forward through various welfare activities and by spreading the message of devotion associated with Sant Ravidas".
"In the days to come, our government and our party will continue to move forward with that same spirit," he told reporters after attending the 650th birth anniversary celebrations of Shri Sant Guru Ravidas.

Nationwide Campaign to Mark Anniversary
In July, BJP MP Tarun Chugh announced that the party will observe the 650th birth anniversary year of Guru Ravidas through a nationwide campaign titled 'Sant Shiromani Shri Guru Ravidas Ji Maharaj Samrasta Sankalp Abhiyan', beginning on July 29 and continuing till February 20, 2027. (ANI)
