Google gives green signal to BevQ, liquor sales in Kerala to start from Thursday
Google has granted permission for the BevQ app allowing one to book liquor through the virtual platform in Kerala
Google on Tuesday approved Kerala’s newly-developed mobile app BevQ. This application introduces a virtual queue system for liquor sale.
The application is developed by a Kochi-based startup called Faircode Technologies Private Limited. The app is available on Google PlayStore. The booking will commence from Wednesday, whereas liquor sales will begin from Thursday.
The BevQ app will provide a token which will specify a time frame in which liquor can be procured from the outlet. The app will be functioning based on the pincode of the user's location.
The e-ticket produced in the app will inform the user the date, time and location of the liquor shop where he should reach. They can reach the shop on the basis of this information to purchase liquor. The QR code in the e-ticket will be scanned at the liquor shop.
The app was chosen among 26 others by a committee chaired by the IT secretary with the Kerala Startup Mission. BevQ was selected on the basis of its technical and financial feasibility.
