German teen stabbed multiple times in Delhi

The Minister has also asked the Delhi government to provide him the best medical treatment.

"I have asked for a report on the attack on German national in Delhi. I have asked Delhi Government to provide him best medical treatment," Swaraj said in a Twitter post.

 
Benjamin Scolt was stabbed in north Delhi's Kotwali area late last night on Friday, in what is suspected to a robbery attempt.


Scolt was robbed and then stabbed seven times by a rickshaw puller, including on the face, according to police.


“On way to Kashmere Gate from Chandni Chowk in a rickshaw, the driver offered a lift to another (person). The two men stabbed him with a blade or a similar sharp object on his face and robbed him of his phone and wallet,” police told Hindustan Times.


The police claim that they have identified the two men and efforts are on to nab them.


As per the National Crime Record Bureau (NCRB) report, the Indian capital is among the most unsafe places for foreigners as there have been 147 cases of heinous crimes registered in 2015. Delhi accounted to more than 40% of the total crimes against foreigners in the country.
