New Delhi: The national capital is doomed by air pollution for a very long time now and the Dusshera celebrations made the air quality even more harmful.

The Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) has labelled the Anand Vihar region's air quality in 'Extreme category' as the Air Quality Index was 405. Other places like Rohini, Dwarka, Ashok Vihar and several others were labelled under 'Poor category'.

Amid the coronavirus situation, the rise in air pollution is making it difficult for people to breathe. Children are suffering from throat problems due to the low quality of the air.

CPCB has submitted an order in Delhi high court to implement several agencies to regulate the pollution in the air.
