New Delhi: Delhi health minister Satyendra Jain tested positive for the coronavirus (COVID-19) on Wednesday (June 17). Jain became the latest AAP leader to test positive for the virus after Kalkaji MLA Atishi Marlena also tested positive earlier today.
According to PTI, Atishi was tested on Tuesday for COVID-19 and her report came positive today. She is presently under home quarantine, sources told the news agency.
“Get well soon Atishi, recover soon from Corona,” AAP MLA Saurabh Bhardwaj tweeted. Atishi represents the Kalkaji Assembly constituency.
A day ago, the 55-year-old Satyendra was brought to the Rajiv Gandhi Super Speciality Hospital (RGSSH) in the early hours of Tuesday and was administered a test for novel coronavirus infection that morning, for which he tested negative.
Last week, Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal had gone into self-isolation at his home after he had a bout of fever and complained of a sore throat. Kejriwal had tested negative for the coronavirus disease.
