CBSE Class 10 board exam 2020 result declared; girls outshine boys
CBSE Class 10 result has been declared. The 18 lakh students who have taken the CBSE Class 10 examination can check their result online at cbseresults.nic.in
New Delhi: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has declared the CBSE Class 10 exam result today (July 15). The students can check their CBSE 10th results 2020 on the board's official websites at cbseresults.nic.in and cbse.nic.in. Students can also check their results at results.nic.in.
Besides, students can also check their results on various other platforms like Umang app, Digilocker, SMS and IVR.
A total of 91.46% of students have passed the examination. There is an increase of 0.36% percentage in comparison to last year's 91.10%.
This year, girls have outscored the boys with a pass percentage of 93.31 while the pass percentage for boys is 90.14%. A total of 2.23% of students or 41,804 students have scored more than 95% marks in CBSE 10th exam this year.
Union education minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank tweeted that the results have been declared.
This year, Trivandrum has emerged as the best performing district with 99.28%, followed by Chennai with 98.95% and Bengaluru with 98.23%.
This year, a total of 18,73,015 students appeared for CBSE Class 10 board exam. Of these, 17,13,121 students have cleared the exam successfully.
As per CBSE rules, students need at least 33% marks to pass in a subject. For subjects having practical and theory aspects, students have to pass in both separately.
