Delhi metro authorities have the right to reject any passenger if she is seen as a security threat. CISF has also removed restrictions on match boxes and lighters.
Desperate times desperate measures. CISF has now allowed women to carry knives along with them for their safety in Delhi Metro. Delhi Metro Corporation has taken this initiative keeping in mind the safety of women which is definitely at stake currently.

However the Delhi metro authorities have the right to reject any passenger if she is seen as a security threat. Along with knives, CISF has also removed restrictions on match boxes and lighters.
The women in Delhi might welcome this decision of Delhi Metro Corporation and CISF but it might increase the chances of uncalled for incidents in the metro just like it happened few days ago. A woman managed to sneak in an axe past the security personnel and attacked a co-passenger with it over a heated argument.
The kind of situation the country is in right now, we never know when an unwanted incident happens. Three incidents over a period of 24 hours in three different places rocked the nation and women’s safety.
