Bengaluru's Southeast Division police have apprehended five key accused in connection with the alleged murder of a medical store owner, who was attacked near a traffic signal on Hosur Main Road within the Madiwala police station limits, police said on Monday.

Details of the Murder and Investigation

On August 22, at about 09:45 PM, an unidentified person allegedly murdered Syed Suhail of Mangammanapalya, the owner of a medical store, near the traffic signal opposite the medical shop on Hosur Main Road, within the jurisdiction of Madiwala Police Station, and fled from the spot. A case was registered at Madiwala Police Station, and an investigation was taken up.

The teams conducted an investigation and apprehended the five key accused involved in the murder case on August 23. Under the leadership of the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Southeast Division, and the Assistant Commissioner of Police, Madiwala Sub-Division, three separate teams were formed to investigate the case. The Police Commissioner and the Joint Commissioner of Police, East, have appreciated the successful operation carried out by the police teams. Further details are awaited.

Previous Arrest in Harassment Case

Earlier, on July 28, Bengaluru Police arrested a man after a woman alleged that she was sexually harassed while waiting for a cab in the city's Ramamurthy Nagar, police said. According to the Deputy Commissioner of Police (East Bengaluru), an FIR has been registered at the Ramamurthynagar Police Station, and the accused has been arrested. (ANI)
