Delhi CM Rekha Gupta paid tribute to former Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley on his death anniversary, recalling his ‘Nation First’ politics, economic contributions and strong connection with Delhi.

Rekha Gupta, the Chief Minister of Delhi, on Monday paid homage to former Union Finance Minister and senior BJP leader Arun Jaitley on his death anniversary. In the memories of the veteran politician, she recalled his political life as a source of inspiration for a ‘Nation First’ politics. The CM also laid a wreath in memory of him.

CM Rekha Gupta Recalled the Political Career of Arun Jaitley

In her post on social media platform X, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta recalled several significant stages of the political career of Jaitley. She stressed out the importance of the contribution of the politician as a Union Finance Minister when he contributed to the significant economic reforms that determined the future direction of the development of the country’s economy.

Arun Jaitley was one of the important figures in the Union government and also one of the most important leaders of the BJP. His experience in law, politics and public policy allowed him to become an influential personality for both the party and the government.

Arun Jaitley Was Closely Connected with Delhi

The long-term connection of Arun Jaitley with Delhi was also recalled by the CM.

Jaitley had been a part of the politics and public life of Delhi for many years. He developed a connection with the capital because of his interaction with the party workers and people in the city.

Remembering the Role Played by Arun Jaitley in Politics

Delhi Assembly Speaker Vijender Gupta also paid floral tributes to the former Union minister at the BJP office. He paid homage to his devotion to the nation and said that his dedication would motivate future generations of political leaders.

Former Union minister Harsh Malhotra also remembered Jaitley as a political leader who used to maintain relations with members of other political parties and always worked for the welfare of the citizens. He paid homage to the deceased BJP leader on his death anniversary.

About Arun Jaitley

Arun Jaitley was a senior BJP leader, lawyer, and former Union minister. He was born on December 28, 1952.

Jaitley was appointed Union Finance and Corporate Affairs Minister between 2014 and 2019, and he made a great contribution to the economic policies of the Indian government during those years.

The man died on August 24, 2019, when he was 66 years old, at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in New Delhi. Six years since his death, the political heritage of Jaitley has been acknowledged in Delhi.
