Amit Shah to hold meeting in Medinipur; Suvendu Adhikari likely to join BJP

Trinamool chief Mamata Banerjee held a meeting with Shuvendu at Medinipur College ground on December 6. From the meeting, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee spoke out against the BJP by opposing the Agricultural bill. 

After Mamata Banerjee’s meeting, Union Home Minister Amit Shah will hold a meeting at the same place in Medinipur. On the day of Shah’s meeting, it is speculated that former transport minister Shuvendu Adhikari will be officially joining the BJP.

The attack on JP Nadda’s convoy at Diamond Harbor has created a new atmosphere of state-center conflict. The Home Ministry wants three IPS officers in charge of Nadda's security in the central deputation. However, the whole process is pending as the state government has not yet given clearance in this regard. Amid such turmoil situation, Union Home Minister Amit Shah is coming to Bengal on a two-day visit. 

People from the political arena are speculating that Suvendu Adhikari might join the BJP. In this situation, many people are thinking that Amit Shah's meeting in Medinipur is going to be a high voltage meeting of BJP.

At first, it was decided that Amit Shah will hold a meeting with party leaders and workers at the Medinipur Sports Complex on the first day of his visit. It was also decided that there will be a discussion regarding the complaints received from the farmer’s organization. But, on Tuesday (December 15) night, the program suddenly changed. 

Union Home Minister Amit Shah will hold a meeting at the Midnapore College ground where Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee had earlier held a meeting. As a result, the Medinipur district leadership has started to work in full swing. They have also started preparations for the meeting.
