130 policemen quarantined in Wayanad, more samples to be sent for testing

If any of the suspected patients in Kerala’s Wayanad try to hide their route map details, then a special team will be formed under the supervision of the superintendent of police (SP).

Wayanad: The status of COVID-19 in Kerala’s Wayanad has worsened and so far 130 policemen have been sent to quarantine. More samples will be taken today and sent for testing. The samples of those at Mananthawady station will be sent for a repeat test.

If any of the suspected patients try to hide their route map details, then a special team will be formed under the supervision of the superintendent of police (SP). Three policemen were diagnosed COVID-19 positive, and route maps of two were out today. The route map confirmed hightened traffic from both the policemen. 

Almost all the fresh positive cases were found to have mingled with at least 60-70 people. Most of the suspects are tribal people. Many patients are tribals. Many panchayats have been totally closed and rigorous testing is in place. The collector will decide upon imposing more restrictions in the district. There are a total of 2030, who are under observation in the district. Twenty are already lodged in different hospitals in Wayanad. People are strictly advised not to step out of their homes until further notification.
