Malabar 2020: Mega 'Quad' naval drill in North Arabian Sea

The second phase of the Malabar 2020 is underway in the North Arabian Sea. Malabar 2020 is a continuing series of exercises that has grown in scope and complexity over the years to address the variety of shared threats to maritime security in the Indo-Pacific. The multilateral exercise involving Australia, India, Japan and the United States shows the 'Quad' resolve to maintain and strengthen a free and open Indo-Pacific. Phase II includes a variety of high-end tactical training including night operations, Replenishment at Sea (RAS) approaches, and gunnery exercises.
