Police officers carry an old man who tried to block the demonstration of the Querdenken movement against coronavirus lockdown restrictions on November 14, 2020 in Frankfurt, Germany. Police, who have in the past looked on without strongly intervening at Querdenken gatherings where participants did not wear masks nor maintain social distancing, have this time said they will take a stronger stance, particularly in light of a recent Querdenken protest in Leipzig that drew 20,000 people and resulted in drawn out clashes. The Querdenken movement is opposed to what it claims are unwarranted infringements on the basic rights of citizens during the pandemic and advocates the overthrow of the German government. It has attracted a wide range of supporters, including large numbers of conspiracy theory advocates. (Photo by Thomas Lohnes/Getty Images)
