OATMEAL - We all know that everybody vouches for oatmeal as a food . But did you recognize that oatmeal may be a treat for your skin too? Oh yes! Oatmeal is indeed a boon for skin. Oatmeal possesses wonderful skin care properties because it cleanses, nourishes, and also heals the skin.
It is great for all skin types, more so for oily, acne-prone, and sensitive skin types because it calms and soothes inflammatory reactions, reduces redness, and makes skin even toned. It cleanses, moisturizes, and exfoliates skin. An excellent exfoliator and cleanser; oatmeal can absorb excess oil. It can also lighten skin tone and improve the complexion. These face packs are a great way to reap benefits of oatmeal. Let’s check out some of them.
Rose water and oatmeal face pack: This is very easy to make. In a bowl, take 2 tablespoons of oatmeal and add one tablespoon of honey. Mix it well and add a couple of drops of perfume. Apply this on your face for 10 minutes and then wash off with lukewarm water. Your skin will feel smooth and fresh.
Almonds and oatmeal face pack for skin whitening: This oatmeal face pack for skin whitening contains lemon juice, which detoxifies the skin. The mild bleaching abilities also impart fairness to the skin. The proteins and vitamin E present in almonds helps nourish the skin from deep within and makes it soft, supple and gorgeous. Take 2 tbsp oatmeal and put them within the grinder. Make fine oats powder and add 5 almonds also as 1 tbsp juice and put them again within the blender. Once it becomes a smooth paste, take it out and apply on the face or only on to the darkened parts. Let it sit for a quarter-hour and rinse with warm water.
Oats and turmeric face pack: This pack will give a natural glow when used on any skin type. You need 2 tablespoons oatmeal, 1-2 pinches turmeric and rose water. Mix all the ingredients together to urge a rough paste. Apply this on the face and scrub in gentle circular motions for a moment or two. Keep the pack on for another 10 minutes and then rinse with water.
Honey milk and oatmeal face pack: This pack is good for all skin types. Those with dry skin can add milk. If you've got oily skin, you'll skip milk. All you need is oats, honey, milk and curd. Add 4 tablespoons each of fresh curd and milk in 2 tablespoons of grounded oats, add in 2 tablespoons of honey. Apply this to your face and leave it on for 15-20 minutes. Rinse off with warm water. Honey and milk act as moisturisers. Curd removes all the tanning and acts as a natural bleaching agent. Oats settle down the skin and smooth the skin texture. Skin feels soft, tighter and pores look smaller after using this pack.
