Here's how you can deep-clean your makeup brushes with minimal effort
You can use daily products like soap bars and detergent liquids to rinse off the residue from the brushes. You must keep in mind to be gentle while rinsing the dirt off to keep the bristles intact.
Does your makeup brush look rugged and too old to use? Maybe not. You could follow these simple steps and clean them to get brand new looking makeup brushes all over again. Here's how.
Rinse with a soap bar: Instead of opting for a high end cleansing product, your basic soap bar can do the trick. Swirl your brush on the soap but make sure to be very gentle so that the bristles do not break. Once this is done and the residue of makeup has loosened out, dip the brush in some lukewarm water and leave it to dry.
Mix virgin oil with soap: It's simple! Add a few drops of good quality virgin oil on a sponge. Add some soap to this mixture and swirl the brush gently until the dirt moves onto the sponge. Continue this until all the dirt has gone and leave the brush to dry.
Hand wash it: Use the sink to pour water on the brushes but make sure to not pour too much of it. Once the brush is soaked in water, rinse it with soap and remove the residue with your hands very smoothly without damaging the bristles. Once the makeup is off the brush and you have washed off the soap as well, leave it to dry and your make up brushes are ready to use.
Coconut oil, detergent liquid and lotion mixture: Put together a spoon of coconut oil, a few drops of detergent liquid and your daily use lotion to form a mixture. Once this is done, swirl the brush in the mixture until it is completely clean of all the leftover makeup. This works really quick and gets rid of the dirt inside the brush as well. Rinse the brush to remove the mixture and leave to dry.
