West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has sharply criticized the Union General Budget for the next financial year. The Chief Minister targeted the Centre on the issue of price rise. She slammed the union budget as "anti-people" aimed at deceiving the people.

One or two people in the country are the treasures of capitalism. The centre is also giving false hopes to the tea workers. The centre did not pay a single penny for the return of the migrant workers to the state.”</p>
