Sovan Chatterjee returning to TMC? BJP leader rushes to former Kolkata mayor’s house to find out truth
Rumours are rife that Sovan Chatterjee might join the TMC again. BJP leader Arvind Menon hurried to Sovan’s house to understand his mind.
There is speculation that Sovan Chatterjee might change teams again. It is being heard that the former mayor of Kolkata may leave the BJP and return to the TMC. Upon hearing this news, BJP leader Arvind Menon hurried to his house to understand Sovan's mind. What did Sovan Chatterjee say to Arvind Menon?
The recent past of state politics states that the former mayor of Kolkata does not have a good relationship with the BJP after he left the Trinamool in Delhi and joined the BJP. He had a lot of arguments with state BJP president Dilip Ghosh.
Within a few days after Mamata Banerjee told leaders to return to their former party, many leaders are slowly joining the TMC. The Trinamool Brigade has asked Ratna to stay away from the leadership of Sovan in Behala. This incident has made people believe that Sovan Chatterjee might join the Trinamool again. Ratna Das has done whatever was instructed by the party.
Though Sovan Chatterjee was warmly welcomed by the BJP, no such greetings were done with Baishakhi Bandyopadhyay. This made Sovan very angry. Once, Dilip Ghosh mocked him by saying that wherever Sovan Chatterjee goes, Baishakhi Bandyopadhyay follows him, making Sovan furious.
Sovan Chatterjee and Baishakhi Bandyopadhyay, who was later insulted in the incident, also sent a message to the top leaders that they would leave the party. Later, BJP leader Mukul Roy met them in Delhi and handled the situation.
Later, Sovan Chatterjee did not take the humour of BJP leaders well on social media. He could not even accept the way both of them were portrayed on some media channels.
According to sources, Sovan Chatterjee wants to know why the party is not taking any action in this regard. Since then, he has not been seen attending any party function.
