NCP leader Nawab Malik slams BJP for misusing Centre’s power to destabilise Bengal govt
The Nationalist Congress Party has accused the Bharatiya Janata Party of misusing powers of the Centre to "destablise" Mamata Banerjee-led government in West Bengal.
According to sources, NCP national spokesperson Nawab Malik said that his party chief Sharad Pawar will raise this issue with leaders of other political parties.
Nawab Malik said, “BJP is misusing the powers of the central government to destabilise the West Bengal government. They cannot take IPS officers from the state to enquire about the law and order situation.”
“Mr Pawar will discuss this issue with leaders of other political parties also. If required, he will visit Bengal to look into this matter, “he added.
On December 17, the Central government asked three IPS officers from Bengal to report for central deputation immediately.
The IPS officers were sked to report for central deputation a day after an attack on BJP president JP Nadda's convoy in West Bengal.
