Coronavirus: Namma Bengaluru Foundation’s #MaskOnSpitNot mascot spreads awareness, distributes masks

The Namma Bengaluru Foundation in association with Indigo Music has taken an initiative to create awareness among city residents about the importance of wearing masks and the need to refrain from spitting in public places through a campaign on social media.
The campaign #MaskOnSpitNot emphasis on wearing a mask but wearing it correctly and stop spreading the virus by refraining from spitting out in public.
On Wednesday (October 28) #MaskOnSpitNot campaign mascot was out on streets creating awareness about importance of wearing masks to keep coronavirus at bay.
As a part of #MaskOnSpitNot campaign, the organisers are running ‘spot ur Maskot’.
People spotted the Maskot at the Sony signal junction, Koramangala. He then distributed masks to people around.
Indigo Music.com and Big FM have also been actively involved in the launch of the campaign.
Namma Bengaluru Foundation is an initiative of BJP MP Rajeev Chandrasekhar.
Around 3,691 new Covid-19 cases were reported in the State, taking Karnataka’s Covid tally beyond eight lakh cases.
Bengaluru reported 1,874 cases on Tuesday, taking the tally to 3.29 lakh cases in city.
A total of 7,740 discharges were recorded in State, with Bengaluru accounting for 4,446.
