Union Minister of Darjeeling Prahlad Singh Patel on Sunday (January 10) slammed West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and said that the people of Bengal are angry with the Bengal government and the BJP will win over 200 of 294 seats in the state assembly polls.
Prahlad Singh Patel said that West Bengal was a victim of the negligence of the Trinamool Congress (TMC) government.
Mr Patel said, “People of Bengal are angry with the Mamata Banerjee government and are wanting a change. The BJP will defeat the TMC by winning over 200 seats in Bengal and form the government. Bengal is a victim of the state government's negligence.”
He said that there is no development happening in West Bengal after the TMC government came into power. The state is drifting from the path of progress.
The Union minister of state for culture and tourism also accused the TMC government of ignoring the local art and culture of Darjeeling.
On a visit to the North Bengal region, Patel alleged that the state government had done nothing for tea garden workers. He alleged that the Trinamool MP’S are not utilising the Centre’s fund for the welfare of the people.
