FollowGauhar Khan and Zaid Darbar tied the knot of marriage, love, and togetherness in Mumbai on Friday, December 25 and later threw a lavish reception party. What began as a lockdown romance grew into a marriage. They both looked gorgeous dressed in traditional attires, here are a few pictures from their wedding and reception.
Their story began during the lockdown when they met in a grocery store and later connected on social media. Gauhar had also shared an animated version of her wedding card that narrated the beautiful story of the couple.
Gauhar Khan chose a royal, bold and gold lehenga for her reception by Manish Malhotra. While Zaid complemented her in a classic black and gold sherwani paired with a matching shawl.
The newlyweds posed for the camera smiling ear-to ear. Many celebrities attended the wedding reception from Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Gautam Rode, Manish Malhotra, and Ismail Darbar.
Both Zaid and Gauhar twinned in royal ivory outfits for their Nikaah ceremony on Friday. Her sister and actress Nigar Khan also dazzled in ivory saree and golden blouse.
Gauhar also got made the clay impression of them holding hands just a few days before the wedding festivities.
A day before the wedding the couple had a ring ceremony. Gauhar's sister Nigar Khan was also seen posing with Zaid's brother.
It was indeed a star studded lavish reception and wedding ceremony for the couple.
