In the reality show Fabulous lives of Bollywood wives released on Netflix, Shanaya Kapoor daughter of Sanjay and Maheep Kapoor debuted in Paris's big event, Le Bal, here's what to know.
 

The show has eight episodes, and in the first one, Maheep Kapoor and family leaves for Paris to attend Le Bal where Shanaya would be seeing debuting for the first time.

Le Bal is one of the most prestigious events in Paris, where women from the lesser privileged section are not allowed.
 

The event is held once in a year, and it is 25th old tradition where the higher and privileged section of the society would launch their daughters as a mark of empowerment. 
 

Women are all dressed up in gowns, and the ritual is to do the waltz with their dads. Le Bal states just the bigger picture of nepotism where your royalties and popular surnames get chosen by, even if your parents haven't been that much famous, but your grandparents or uncle or aunt have gained international fame.

Le Bal selects women from the background of political leaders, entertainment, world leaders and more. The previous year, Ananya Panday daughter of Chunky Panday was chosen to debut in Le Bal. It gives away the essence of nepotism.
