The nutritionist is a firm believer in Ayurveda and Satvik lifestyle and diet, she discovered that Deepika has 'pitta' and planned her diet accordingly.
Nutritionist's concern were to counter the heat generated by her 'pitta'. Deepika started her day with a tbsp of soaked fennel seeds, along with sipping on cooling drinks such as oats and green detox smoothies throughout the day.
Skipping the breakfast was a big no for Deepika, hence she had a good meal comprising of coconut, nuts, oats, rice, and lentils in breakfast. She would enjoy some Pongal, porridge, upma, boiled and sauteed red lentils tossed in colling herbs such as mint, cilantro, and fennel or purple cabbage along with millet seeds and some green salad on the sides.
As Deepika loves Italian food, quinoa and rice were curated to create a health-conscious healthy diet and meal plans recipes at least 2-3 times a week. Deepika would have 1 fruit as a mid-morning snack, vegetable juice and for lunch, she would have roti, with a bowl of cooked veggies. In between she would snack on some beetroot tikki, zucchini kebabs, herbed hummus, and a few other dishes.
