Rakhi had shared a few pictures of her mother after her chemo asking her fans to pray for her, she wrote, “Please pray for mom, she is undergoing cancer treatment.”
A few years ago, in a chat show with Rajeev Khandelwal, Rakhi opened up about her previous life and struggling days. Rakhi shared that her mother picked garbage at the hospitals, A few time, they did not have food to eat and had to look for leftover foods.
"My mother worked in the hospital and used to pick up the garbage strip there. We also had problems with eating and used to find leftover food," said Rakhi.
She also said her uncle used to hit her because she wanted to dance, "Not just that, she also shared that whenever she used to practise dance, her maternal uncle would beat her badly. My uncle used to thrash me mercilessly. In my family, they bothered about having no food to eat, but they were bothered about a girl should not dance," said Rakhi.
"I have been beaten so much in my life that my body is full of stitches. I bore all these just to go ahead in life," Rakhi added.
"I was still a kid at that time. Whenever the producers used to tell me to 'show' what I got, I used to start dancing in front of them. But I did not know they wanted to see something else. They used to say we have seen enough of dance, show us what we want to see. I have been exploited, I am not denying that. I cannot tell anything more in detail, "revealed Rakhi.
