Kangana Ranaut compares herself with lady superstar Sridevi; says, 'I became the only actress after legendary Sridevi ji to do comedy'
FollowBollywood controversial actress Kangana Ranaut has recently celebrated the 10th anniversary of her film, Tanu Weds Manu. She tweets, which mentioned how even 'side actress' Swara Bhasker was tagged, but Kangana, who played the lead, was not.
In her quote-tweet, Kangana wrote, "Mere dushmanon kee mushkilen to dekho, roz duhaiyaan dete hain, kaash Swara Kangana hotee ya kaash Alia Kangana hotee ya phir Taapasee hee Kangana hotee, kaash Kangana ko hee Kangana se chheen lete to shaayad vo hamaaree hotee.... ajeeb mohabbat hai yaar (Look at the troubles of my enemies, they curse me everyday. They wish I was Swara, Alia [Bhatt] or Taapsee [Pannu], or anyone but not me. What weird love they have for me)."
Later she also tweeted, comparing herself with Sridevi, claiming that she became the only lady actor after the late legendary star to do comedy in the film industry.
"I was stuck in edgy/neurotic roles, this film changed the trajectory of my career, was my entry in to mainstream that too with comedy, with Queen and Datto I strengthened my comic timing and became the only actress after legendary SriDevi ji to do comedy #10yearsoftanuwedsmanu," Kangana Ranaut tweeted.
But, netizens trolled Kangana. They said that after Sridevi, they could think of other amazing actresses like Juhi Chawla and Kajol, who have impeccable comic timing.
"Yes you were awesome in the movie but to say you were the 1st to do comedy after Sridevi. Please watch @itsKajolD in Kabhi Kushi Kabhi Gham . she was terrific in that movie and her comic timing was brilliant and at Par with Sridevi" one Twitter used written.
Another written, "Well after Sridevi I would say Juhi Chawla has the perfect comedy timing. @iam_juhi 's comic timing is something Kangana yet has to catch."
Likewise, another has written, "What was Juhi Chavla known for ?...she had one of the best comic timing ...so don't boast too much Kangana ji.. let other appreciate your skills rather than apne muh miya mithu case."
Last month, Kangana compared herself with Hollywood stars Meryl Streep and Gal Gadot, which didnt went well with the social media users. That time Twitter exploded at Kangana, comparing herself to Meryl Streep, the Queen actor now wants to know how many national or Padma awards the Hollywood legend has won.
