Mumbai Indians (MI) registered their fourth win of the season, following their win against Rajasthan Royals (RR). Match 20 of this season was held in Abu Dhabi. MI rise to the top spot, while RR are down to seventh.
Gradually, the players are picking and even a slow track in stadiums like Sheikh Zayed Stadium, in Abu Dhabi, has seen high totals on the board. On Tuesday, Mumbai Indians (MI) scored 193 runs, which Rajasthan Royals (RR) were unable to chase. RR was defeated by 57 runs. Let’s just look at some of the talking points of the match.
The underdogs make a comeback
The silent killers, namely Suryakumar Yadav (MI) and Jos Buttler (RR), did it with the bat for their respective teams after some initial poor matches. Yadav smashed 79 off 47 deliveries, while Buttler scored 70 from 44 balls.
Wristy Shreyas Gopal
RR leg-spinner was quite deceptive against the Mumbai Indians. He conceded just 28 runs and eroded a couple of wickets in his spell.
MI’s bowling attack
Except for Krunal Pandya and Kieron Pollard, almost all MI bowlers were absolutely economical and were able to maintain the rate less than eight. Together, they destroyed all of RR in 18.1 overs.
Bumrah’s comeback ahead of selectors meet
Jasprit Bumrah finally did his magic with the ball ahead of the selectors meet, who will decide the players for the Australia series. In his magnificent bowling spell, he conceded just 20 runs and scalped four major wickets.
