Mumbai Indians (MI) registered yet another win of the season. They notched the top position in the table after crushing SRH for a 34-run defeat.
Yet another game at Sharjah and spectators witnessed another high score on the board. Mumbai Indians (MI), who batted first, put up a formidable total of 208. However, while chasing, Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) fell 34 runs short of the target.
Let’s just look at some of the talking points of the match.
Quinton de Kock makes a comeback
After four unsuccessful opening attempts, it was the day for de Kock. Rohit Sharma, who departed early, left a huge responsibility in the high-scoring stadium. De Kock very well shouldered the same. He made little partnerships with Suryakumar Yadav and Ishan Kishan, and hit 67 runs off 39 balls, smashing four sixes and four fours.
Krunal Pandya’s aggressive form
Taking the strike in the twentieth over, after his brother Hardik departed, the senior Pandya smashed the ball from the very start. He etched a record strike-rate of 500, as he hit 20 runs in just four balls.
Rashid Khan- The magical bowler
Rashid Khan is known as one of the most economical bowlers. He proved his worth once again, as he conceded only 22-runs in his spell. Besides, he also took a wicket.
David Warner- Sole driver for SRH
David Warner was seen in a terrific form after a couple of matches for his franchise. Poor luck prevailed for SRH, as no other batsman could consolidate well with him. He hit 60 off 44 balls.
Economical MI bowlers
All the bowlers contributed fairly to restrict SRH. However, Kieron Pollard, Trent Bout, and James Pattinson were even better. Each had an economy of less than 7.3 and together, they scalped four wickets for MI.
