With quite some backlash that Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) faced ahead of their defeat in their second match against Kings XI Punjab (KXIP), they have left no stones unturned to prove their worth. RCB defeated RR by eight wickets and conceded an easy victory at the Sheikh Zayed Cricket Stadium. RCB are now scintillating at the top of the points table.

Match Report:
With the toss in RR’s favor, they chose to bat initially. The decision backfired, as they lost their three wickets in the powerplay itself. It was Mahipal Lomror, who secured their face, contributing 47 runs with the bat, and managed little partnerships with the other players. RR, by the end of their innings, were able to put 154 runs on the board.

RCB, from the very start, looked way promising. The 99-run stand between Devdutt Padikkal and Virat Kohli drove them to an easy victory, where they defeated RR by eight wickets.

Rahul Tewatia hit the maximum sixes in death overs
Tewatia, who has come up strong as a finisher for RR, has added his name in the list of hitting maximum sixes in the death overs this season. Overall, he has hit nine sixes so far and has equaled Kieron Pollard in this record.

Tom Curran scripts the worst economy rate
Of all the 20 overs that he has bowled for RR this season, his economy rate has been all-time worst in IPL history. He has been highly uneconomical with an economy rate of 11.48.
