Indian cricketers tend to get married to some of the top women in the country, while their married life fascinates the fans. Although some of the wives are popular, there are some who stay away from the limelight, as fans hardly know anything about them or their profession.
Indian cricketers have always fascinated the fans, as they are treated with huge respect and are given the status of celebrities. Naturally, it is their personal life which also tends to fascinate the fans, including their married life.
While some of the cricketers are famous for getting married to some of the renowned women in India, some get hitched with a childhood friend or even do an arranged marriage. As for the latter ones, fans are curious to know who the woman actually is.
Although most of the wives of the cricketers are into some kind of profession, some even quit it to take care of their families. Nonetheless, we present six of the wives of Indian cricketers, whose profession you might be unaware of.
Ritika Sajdeh: She happens to be the wife of senior Indian opener, Rohit Sharma, as both were longtime friends. Prior to getting hitched, Ritika used to be a sports manager, as she managed some of the top sports personalities. She had even managed Virat Kohli during the initial phase of his career and there were even rumours of the two, dating.
Dona Ganguly: The wife of former Indian skipper, Sourav Ganguly, has a unique love story, as the couple got hitched after eloping together. Nonetheless, everything was reconciled between their families later. As for her profession, she happens to a Bengali Odissi dancer. She also has her own dance institute, called Diksha Manjari, which has more than 200 students as of now. The institute was inaugurated by legendary Indian singer, Lata Mangeshkar.
Hasin Jahan: The now estranged wife of Indian seamer Mohammed Shami, she began as a model and even trained the cheerleaders for the Indian Premier League (IPL). Nonetheless, she had to quit it after her marriage with Shami, as she also has a daughter along with him. However, the two have reportedly parted ways, as she is looking to make a comeback to the modelling industry.
Ayesha Mukherjee: She is the wife of prolific Indian opener, Shikhar Dhawan. Ayesha happens to be an amateur boxer, based in Melbourne. She has participated in some of the local kick-boxing tournaments and keeps herself fit, as she occasionally continues to do so.
Anjali Tendulkar: As the name suggests, she is the wife of Indian cricketing legend and Master Balster, Sachin Tendulkar. Anjali happened to be a paediatrician and was practising medicine prior to her marriage. Nevertheless, she had to give it all in order to take care of Tendulkar’s family and kids.
Sakshi Rawat Dhoni: Sakshi is the famous wife of legendary former Indian skipper, MS Dhoni. She has a degree in Hotel Management and even worked as a trainee at Hotel Taj Bengal in Kolkata, where she eventually met Dhoni, before going all the way.
