Alibaba founder and billionaire Jack Ma is believed to be missing. And that too since October 24 when he made his scathing remarks about the Chinese business model.

<p>The Chinese billionaire's whereabouts are reportedly not known ever since October 24 when he made his scathing remarks about the Chinese business model.<br />&nbsp;</p><p>Ma had criticised Chinese regulators, claiming that China's biggest risk is that it 'lacks a financial ecosystem' and that the country's banks are like pawn shops where collaterals and guarantees are hard currency.</p>

The Chinese billionaire's whereabouts are reportedly not known ever since October 24 when he made his scathing remarks about the Chinese business model.

In one single day, Ant Group Co's $35 billion share sale in Shanghai and Hong Kong was suspended and Ma was called in for "supervisory interviews" and given a dressing down.&nbsp;<br />&nbsp;</p><p>Chinese regulators halted what would have been the world's largest share offering in history.<br />&nbsp;</p><p>Alibaba and a group company Tencent Holding Limited were fined last month by Chinese regulators for failing to apply for official approval before proceeding with some acquisitions.</p>

The Alibaba founder even missed his scheduled appearance in the final episode of his own talent show, <em>Africa’s Business Heroes</em>.<br />&nbsp;</p><p>An Alibaba spokesperson, however, clarified that Jack Ma was unable to join the judging panel "due to a schedule conflict".<br />&nbsp;</p><p>But the fact that Jack Ma photograph was removed from the judging panel's webpage and that he was left out of a promotional video seems to indicate that there's more than that meets the eye.<br />&nbsp;</p><p>Ma's Twitter profile hasn't seen any activity since October 10 either.</p>
