Will Kotigobba 3 make Sudeep the highest paid actor in Kannada?

FollowIt seems like Kiccha Sudeep is the busiest star in the Kannada film industry. It is said that Sudeep is being paid Rs 8 crore for Kotigobba 3.
Reports say that Kiccha Sudeep has agreed to join hands with producer Soorappa Babu after the success of Kotigobba 2. The industry is abuzz with rumours that the movie will be titled Kotigobba 3 and Sudeep will be paid a remuneration of Rs 8 crore.
Here is Sudeep’s tweet clarifying the doubts on doing Soorappa Babu’s movie. Sudeep’s tweet reads:
“This is going to be a Sudeepian film, truly for his fans,” says the producer Babu speaking to New Indian Express.
It is also said that the producer has made an advance payment to the star. Currently, Sudeep is busy shooting for his next flick with Shivarajkumar, The Villain. Soon after the completion of shooting, he will get engaged in Hebbuli director Krishna’s next movie. According to Sudeep’s tweet, he will shoot for Soorappa’s Babu’s movie too simultaneously with Krishna’s movie.
The report also stated that currently the plot is being scripted in Chennai and after finalising the script the director will also be finalised.
However, currently, sources say that Darshan has been paid Rs 10 crore for his role in the big budget movie Kurukshetra. There were also rumours that Darshan is opting out of Kurukshetra. But there is no confirmation in this regard from the actor or the production house.

Thus, so far it looks like the actors have raised the bar for their payment in Kannada film industry. But there is no such news heard from the female leads. Even amidst complaints that female leads are paid way lesser than their male counterparts, there has been no improvement in this regard.
Will it take a movie like Queen or Wonder Woman (not a remake but with an original script) to bring the much-needed pay parity in the Kannada film industry?
