Kerala’s 19-year-old Kaziah Liz Mejo has won Miss Universe India 2026 in Jaipur. The law student and model will represent India at the 75th Miss Universe pageant in Puerto Rico this November.
Kerala now has a new beauty queen to boast about. Kaziah Liz Mejo, a 19-year-old law student and model from Kerala, has emerged as Miss UniverseIndia 2026 and will be competing for India at the Miss Universe event number 75 to be held in Puerto Rico in November. The crowning took place at the final contest held in Jaipur, in which contenders from all over India participated in pursuit of the national crown.
Who is Kaziah Liz Mejo?
Kaziah Liz Mejo is a 19-year-old from Mavelikkara, Kerala, who is pursuing a law degree alongside her modelling career. At a very young age, she has already earned herself an outstanding reputation. Being born in 2007, she grew up in Abu Dhabi until she pursued education and other interests such as modeling, performing arts and public speaking. Currently, she is studying law and also did classical dance training for 12 years. In addition, Kaziah can also sing and play instruments like drums and violin.
Moreover, her association with the entertainment industry has not only been limited to singing but has also been expanded to acting with her debut in Malayalam film, Shylock.

Miss Universe India 2026 final event was organized at Zee Studios, Jaipur, where Kaziah Mejo came out victorious after defeating 52 other participants. Manika Vishwakarma, who won Miss Universe India in 2025, presented her successor with the crown.
Vaishnavi Ganesh of Tamil Nadu emerged as first runner-up and Miss International India 2026. The second runner-up position went to Anushri Satavlekar from Gujarat, third runner-up to Tejaswini Shrivastava from Maharashtra and Anubha Vashist Chaudhary from Uttarakhand came fourth.
From Miss Teen International First Runner-Up to National Crown
She won the title of Miss Teen Diva 2024 when she was just 17 years old, and in 2025, Kaziah participated in the international level pageant for India, representing as a contestant in Miss Teen International, emerging as the first runner-up. That year's winner was Lorena Ruiz, representing Spain in the international pageant.
India’s Future Miss Universe Hope
It is time for Kaziah to participate in the international pageants now as she will represent India in Miss Universe pageant which is the 75th edition in 2026 in Puerto Rico.
