The songs from 'Darr' starring Shahrukh Khan, Juhi Chawla and Sunny Deol even now mesmerizes audience but in a recent interview Rahul Roy revealed that the famed character Rahul played by Shahrukh Khan was not written for him as it was originally set for Rahul Roy.

Roy who appeared in a TV Show revealed that after Ashiqui he signed 49 films at a stretch but had to turn down a few as he could not accommodate his dates.

Roy took out the name of Darr film particularly and said he regrets and revealed that it was originally written keeping him in mind.
The 1993's 'Darr' script was written by Honey Irani and Javed Siddiqui. Khan became a household after this film hit the theaters then.

Rahul Roy, however, could not make it big despite his Aashiqui and Junoon and later appeared in Bigg Boss show and was declared the winner.

Roy and the team of Ashiqui involving Anu Aggarwal and Deepak Tijori were invited for a talk show as the film completed 30 years of its release.

The film was a musical hit that time and sold over 20 million soundtrack units.

The film also proved a blessing for Kumar Sanu who from then onwards was dubbed as a romantic singer as the young generation then got hooked to 'Dheere Dheere' cover song.
