Watch: Sunny Leone goes topless for a cause
- Sunny Leone, Taapsee Pannu Are Spreading Breast Cancer Awareness
This awareness video is a part of a larger series of short films about the importance of detecting breast cancer early.
Â
The video says that breast cancer cases would reduce to half, if only women paid as much attention to their breasts, as men do.
Â
Â
It begins with clips of men from different walks of life trying to converse with women as they struggle to prevent their gaze from moving down.
Â
In the video, Sunny Leone said, "Don't be embarrassed, don't be shy. A two-minute test at home can save your life," adding that “sixty percent of breast cancer cases in India are diagnosed at stage three and four. Self-examination at home means early detection. It takes two minutes."
Â
Taapsee Pannu also said, "We women need to be aware of our body and know that detection is better than cure. Â Two minutes self-test is all you need to do. Â When the team approached me with this concept, I was up for it because I want women and men to be aware that breast cancer is curable if detected at an early stage."Â
Â
Â
Both actresses are part of a larger series of breast cancer awareness that goes by the hashtag - Â #DetectToDefeat - which talks about the importance of detecting breast cancer early.
