Box-office clashes have shifted base nearer home. This Friday on OTT witness Sherni Vs Jagame Thandiram. This Friday, June 18 two big OTT platforms Netflix and Amazon Prime Video, are at war. As Netflix is releasing Tamil star Dhanush's Jagame Thandiram about a Tamilian gagster taking on his enemies on the streets of London.

And on the other hand, Amazon Prime Video will be releasing Vidya Balan's latest film Sherni, a path-breaking narrative showing the journey of a female forest officer navigating through her marriage with her rather unusual job. 

Dhanush’s film was in the news from its announcement when the main antagonist a few years ago. The movie will now be available to stream in 190 countries in 17 languages. 

This includes French, German, Italian, Polish, Portuguese, Spanish (Castilian and Neutral), Thai, Indonesian and Vietnamese, and Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, Hindi, and English. 

The film marks the first collaboration between actor Dhanush and director Karthik Subbaraj. The film also features Aishwarya Lekshmi, Game of Thrones actor James Cosmo, Sanchana Natarajan, Joju George, and Kalaiyarasan. 

Dhanush’s character is named Suruli; the trailer of the movie received positive responses from movie lovers.
