From Sanjay Leela Bhansali's "Padmaavat" to Ajay Devgan's crime drama "Raid", now, with the release of Veere Di Wedding, the list of top Bollywood movie openers of 2018 has been scuffled up a little. Apart from IMDb rating of 2.5 stars out of 10, this movie has become successful in getting into top 5 openers of Bollywood movies of 2018.

 

1. Baaghi 2

The movie "Baaghi 2" starring Tiger Shroff and Disha Patani has continued to be the top opener of 2018. The film collected a whopping Rs 25.10 crore on the first day of its release. All loved Tiger Shroff's perfectly choreographed action sequences and his chemistry with Disha Patani. The film had a successful time in the ticket counters.

 

2. Padmaavat

Sanjay Leela Bhansali's "Padmaavat" starring Deepika Padukone, Shahid Kapoor and Ranveer Singh had a running start despite being banned in many states. The film earned about Rs 19 crore on the first day. Ranveer and Deepika's performance became the highlight of the movie.

 

3. Veere Di Wedding

This new movie "Veere Di Wedding" starring Kareena Kapoor Khan, Sonam Kapoor, Swara Bhaskar and Shikha Talsania directed by Shashanka Ghosh managed to be the third top opener of 2018 despite the IMDB rating it 2.5 out 10. It has earned Rs 10.70 crore on the first day.

 

4. Pad Man

Akshay Kumar's "Padman", a social drama which talked about menstrual hygiene provoked the interest to watch the movie, and the film earned up to Rs 10.26 crore on the first day of its release.

 

5. Raid

Ajay Devgan's crime drama "Raid" was a solo release at the box office, and earned Rs 10.04 crore on its first day. Later, the film entered the 100 crore club when the positive word of mouth was spread by the viewers.
