"When you are doing action, you are taking the risk. You need someone to back you. Whenever John was around, he used to check safety and then I would do it," Varun told reporters at the wrap-up shoot of Dishoom.

"Every stunt, John would do it and then I would. Even if he were not supposed to do the stunt, he would still do it for me. I had a lot of support system," he said.

However, Varun said he and John injured themselves while performing an underwater action part.

"Both John and I have hurt our eyes while we were shooting for an underwater sequence. It was on the day of India versus West Indies (cricket match). All of us were excited to see the match, but we had hurt our eyes," Varun said.

According to Varun, Dishoom, which is being directed by his elder brother Rohit, was the most challenging film as it had some heavy duty action sequences.

"The film Dishoom has been very challenging. There is a lot of action in the film. John and I have done dare-devil stunts," he added.

Both the Student of the Year actor and Madras Cafe star did their action sequences.

Varun reveals that as a child, he used to get beaten up by Rohit. "Rohit is a very talented and good director. I am glad I got the opportunity to work with him," Varun added.

Rohit also praised his younger brother. "Varun is a good actor. It is not necessary that he should work on my every film if there is something for him I will talk to him if he likes the idea he can come board," he said.

The film also stars Jacqueline Fernandez, who is a fitness freak.

"With John and Jacqueline on board, you are fitness freak...you end up working out, going to the gym," Varun said.
