US Presidential Election 2016: Bollywood Reacts To Trump’s Victory!

Personalities like Kabir Khan, Javed Akhtar, Radhika Apte, Twinkle Khanna among others expressed shock over Trump becoming the new President.

Trump, a former reality star, who has hosted "The Apprentice", defeated Hillary Clinton in the knife-edge US Presidential elections.

 

"A quote by Einstein that seems relevant today: Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity. I am not sure about the former," Kabir tweeted.

 

Arjun Rampal wrote, "Oh Teri!!!!! Yeh jeetgaya. New president #donaldtrump. Hope all visiting America have got their visas." 

 

Lyricist Javed Akhtar wrote, "A leader like Trump connects with our meanness. He tells us don't feel guilty there are many as vicious as you are. We love him for it." 

 

Filmmaker Shirish Kunder wrote, "Congratulations America, you're now ONE BIG REALITY SHOW. #ElectionNight #Election2016 #USElection2016 #DonaldTrump." 
 

 

Twinkle, who is known for her sarcasm, took a dig at Trump calling him "Donald Duck".

"Donald Duck waddling to the White House doesn't seem to be just a surreal nightmare. Misogyny plays its trump card and wins..

"'Ignorant, sexist, racist but jeez thank God, not a feminist!' said the birdbrained followers as they flapped their wings for Donald Duck," she wrote.

Anubhav Sinha tweeted, "Congratulations America. Now we know what you wanted." 

Alia Bhatt wrote,"Fingers crossed now more than ever! #USElection2016".

 

"Sad shocking and scary.. Wonder what we have in store..#Elections," Radhika Apte tweeted.

Filmmaker Satish Kaushik wrote, "Donald Trump is the new American President. Either way 9/11 have shocked the world.

Richa Chadha tweeted,"I just woke up, I wanna go back to sleep." 

 

Huma Qureshi wrote, "Dear America , Trump is what happens when you watch too much Reality TV."

Sunny Leone raised her concern over Trump's win, "What is most surprising is the entire government system is red now! Trump won't have many hurdles to pass to do anything he wants!"

Although Salman Khan hasn’t tweeted anything about Trump’s victory at the time of going online, he had tweeted few days before the elections supporting Hillary Clinton.
