Trisha to rule as the Tamil 'Queen'

The actress is currently busy shooting for the Tamil horror film Mohini. According to a source close to the actress, Trisha is still the strongest contender to reprise Kangana Ranaut’s role in the Tamil version of Queen.

A report published on an entertainment website said “The filmmakers have once again begun talks with Trisha. The project requires bulk dates and the actress already has two projects in her kitty." 

The report adds "She is figuring out how she can set aside dates that will require her to shoot abroad for an extended schedule,” 

The untitled remake will be directed by actress and filmmaker Revathy, known for directing Bollywood films like Mitr, My Friend and Phir Milenge.

Suhasini Mani Ratnam has been roped in to write the dialogues for the movie and producer Thiyagarajan will bankroll the remake.

Queen is the story of a young Delhi based-Punjabi girl who goes on her honeymoon to Paris alone, after her fiance calls off the wedding.
