During the promotions for Tubelight in Dubai, Salman Khan said that he would like to watch Malayalam movie Pulimurugan first and then look for his Bodyguard director, Siddique.

Yes, you heard that right. Salman Khan who Bollywood superstar and has previously acted in the remake of two Malayalam blockbusters, Bodyguard and Kyon Ki, said that he wanted to watch Mohanlal's Pulimurugan.One was directed by Siddique and the other by Priyadarshan. 

Salman Khan said, “I have acted in two Malayalam remakes—Bodyguard and Kyon Ki. Now I am going to watch Pulimurugan.” He also added, 'I am trying to contact Siddique who directed Bodyguard.'  So is Salman Khan planning to remake Pulimurugan? Is that why he wants to watch the film?

Last year, when Pulimurugan was released, there were some discussions of the film being remade in Telugu and Hindi. And Telugu star Prabhas and Salman Khan happened to be the top contenders for the respective versions. 

We all know Pulimurugan is the biggest Malayalam hit till date because it’s the first to have crossed the Rs 100 crore mark. It created history like no other Mollywood film before boasted of this record. The film was directed by Vysakh and made on a budget of Rs 18 crore. 

 

 

Meanwhile, Salman is currently working on Kabir Khan's Tiger Zinda Hai with ex-lover Katrina Kaif. In Tubelight, Salman is playing the role of an innocent man looks captivating already. Fans are looking forward to the entire trailer, which will release on May 24. The film is based on the Indo-Sino war, and Kabir Khan confessed that this was also inspired by American film Little Boy. Tubelight, also starring Chinese actor Zhu Zhu, will hit the big screens on June 23.
