Mohanlal's Aashirwad Cinemas, in association with Maxlab, has bought the Malayalam distribution rights of Janatha Garage.
Thanks to his star power, and strong distribution network, the movie is getting a wide release across Kerala and several Gulf countries.
The bilingual action thriller has been shot in Telugu and Malayalam, is scheduled to hit the screens on Sept. 1. The movie has bagged 'U/A' certification for its Telugu and Malayalam versions.
The movie will be special for Kerala viewers, as it also stars Mollywood actors Nithya Menen, Unni Mukundan, Rahman and Sithara in notable roles, apart from Saikumar, Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Devayani in the major roles.
Also, Kajal Aggarwal will be seen shaking her booty in an item song in the movie.
The advance booking for the film has been opened at SP Cinemas in Peyad, Thiruvananthapuram and Pan Cinemas, Nucleus Mall in Kochi.
Reportedly, the movie will be released in over 200 screens alone in Kerala itself.
