Bollywood actress Sridevi's sudden death has shocked Bollywood and her fans. Many theories are doing rounds about the mysterious death of the actress.
Renowned Bangladesh-based author Taslima Nasreen, who has written books like Lajja, Meyebela, My Bengali Girlhood, All about Women etc., is not convinced that Sridevi died of cardiac arrest or accidental drowning.
Just after the forensic and hospital reports were out, Taslima posted a very surprising tweet, where she stated that she is just hoping that the actress' death is not suicide or a homicide.
She wrote, ‘'Sridevi's body was found in a bathtub full of water. Hope it is not homicide or suicide.''
She also wrote, ''Healthy adults don't drown in bathtubs accidentally.''
The Gulf News said the actor fell into the bathtub of her room at the Jumeirah Emirates Towers, soon she lost consciousness and drowned. The Khaleej Times reported that Sridevi's husband, Boney Kapoor, who was waiting to take Sridevi out for dinner, found her motionless in the bathtub.
According to Gulf News, police called in Sridevi’s husband Boney to Bur Dubai police station for investigation. Police took his statement after which he was allowed to go back to his hotel room.
According to TOI, the Dubai police might recreate the sequence of events leading to the discovery of her body in room number 2201 at Jumeirah Emirates Towers.
The police sources said clearance for the body to be taken to India would be given after questioning is completed on February 27, Tuesday. The sources said, “There are questions that we have after seeing the post-mortem report, so we felt we had to re-investigate the case.”
Therefore, Sridevi’s body will remain at Al Qusais morgue, while the hotel room she stayed has been sealed by the Dubai police for re-investigating.
