Shocking: Mohanlal wanted to quit acting 'FOREVER.'

Pulimurugan, an action thriller has emerged as the biggest hit of Mohanlal's career. Shockingly, the superstar had decided to quit working in films, if the movie failed at the box office.

In an interview, director Vysakh said the decision was taken by Mohanlal during the shooting of Pulimurugan.  

Mollywood superstar's retirement statement came as a huge shock to the director, and he asked the actor to change his mind.

Later, Mohanlal revealed why he had thought about calling it quits. "I felt that I will no longer be qualified to be in the film industry or call myself an actor if the movie flops," Laletta had said.

His words shook the filmmakers and team members, and they chose to leave no stone unturned to make sure to give best of them to make the film a success.  

Now, Pulimurugan is one of the biggest hits of Mollywood and has broken several box office records. The movie is also expected to become the first Malayalam film to enter the ₹100-crore club.
