South Indian actress and dancer Sai Pallavi may have reached stardom, but has not changed her attitude towards people in the film industry, especially those who helped her in shaping  her career. As one of her films flopped, she expressed solidarity with the producers and took only half the remuneration.

In 2018, when her much anticipated Telugu film Padi Padi Leche Manasu (PPLM) tanked at the box office, producers Prasad Chukkapalli and Sudhaar Cherukuri suffered the most.

The producers, under the banner Lakshmi Venkateshwar, spent Rs 10 crore for production and promotion of the film, as Sandalwood star Yash’s KGF chapter 1 crushed all other films in 2018 December and January 2019. The makers suffered a huge loss and Pallavi's co-star Sharwanant, who had two to back-to-back hits witnessed a flop with PPLM.

However, the actress expressed her solidarity with the producers and took only half of her remuneration.

The actress, however, did not see her career graph sliding down. Her next film with Dhanush in Maari 2 made her a super star over night. Her performance in the song Rowdy Baby gave the jitters to leading dancers in the industry and this song became a super hit across South India.
