Rajnikanth attacked over Kabali black money

Right from Bollywood to Kollywood, superstar Rajinikanth, Kamal Haasan, Dhanush, Allu Arjun and Suriya took to Twitter to praise the PM’s act.

Amidst all this praise and talks, Tamil director Ameer Sultan has lashed out at Rajini for supporting Modi.

According to reports published in India Today, the director believes the demonetisation decision has been taken in haste without anticipating how it affects the common citizens of India.

Sultan said at a press meet, "Is Rajinikanth not aware of the amount at which tickets for his Kabali were sold? Is he ready to submit a white paper on the ticket rates and a collection made by the film? While the tickets were sold way above the rates fixed by the government, would that not account to black money?"

Mohan Rama was aghast at the lash out. He took to Twitter to share his views –  “What ?? Ameer asks @superstarrajini for accounts of Kabali ? Berates him for supporting the PM ? He should ask the Producer… very sad.

He also said that Rajini's movie Kabali tickets were sold at a very high price than the normal price which in a way amounts to black money. “ "Isn’t he aware of it? Is he ready to submit a white paper on the ticket rates and collection?,” Sultan said at the same press meet.

In another press meet, Ilayathalapathy Vijay said, "Problems faced by the common man should not outweigh the benefits of demonetisation. Proactive measures should have been taken."

Meanwhile, Rajini was recently spotted at Sholinganallur in Chennai, shooting for his much-anticipated Enthiran 2.0. The film will be unveiled on November 20. The film also stars Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar, Amy Jackson, Sudhanshu Pandey and Adil Hussain in pivotal roles.
