Here is a hero who has taken the first place in the Sandalwood in terms of salary. With the success of his recent movie ‘Raajakumara’, Puneeth Rajkumar has become the highly paid actor in Sandalwood.
With new developments, Puneeth is demanding seven crores say sources. His next flick is titled Anjaniputra, and it is a remake of Tamil movie 'Poojai' starred by Vishal Krishnan. Anjaniputra is being produced by MN Kumar. When Suvarna spoke to the producer, he has said that it was a previous commitment.

However, the actor has not confirmed the news, but the sources in Gandhinagar are quite sure of Rs 7 crore demand for Anjaniputra.
After series of Puneeth’s movies had failed to do magic at the box office, the most awaited movie Raajakumara gave him the much-needed break. The movie has already completed successful 50 days screening and is fast approaching the 100 days mark. So far the movie’s collection has also crossed Rs 75 crore. The sources also said that Puneeth was paid Rs 6.5 crore for Raajakumara.
Earlier, Yash took the first place in terms of salary, followed by Darshan. Puneeth was in the third place, whereas Kiccha Sudeep was placed fourth. Shivarajkumar and Upendra were in the fifth and sixth place respectively.
Rocking Star Yash, after the success of Mr and Mrs Ramachari, his charges rose up to Rs 5 crore per movie.
However, with big releases, the remuneration of the Kannada actors has gone up. Sudeep’s Hebbuli also has made a good collection in the box office. Darshan’s Chakravarthy also did well in the first week of the release of the movie.
However, pushing Yash to the second place, Puneeth has become the No 1 star of Kannada cinema.
