Prabhas finally admits that the current phenomenon - Baahubali; The Conclusion - has changed his life forever and that he has become a national superstar.
Baahubali 2 has set an unprecedented record for Indian cinema by raking in over Rs 1,500 crore (almost $180 million) worldwide and giving Prabhas a level of visibility he had imagined. In a recent interview with a news agency, Prabhas shared some unknown aspects about Baahubali 2, how it changed his life, what was the most challenging thing to do and why he dedicated seven years of his life to the movie.
In the interview via email, Prabhas stated that he was thankful to SS Rajamouli, “My sheer aim was to be able to live up to the imagination that Rajamouli sir had in mind. I consider myself very blessed and lucky for it."Prabhas admitted that he never expected, 'in my wildest of dreams' that the film would grow on to become such a phenomenon.
Prabhas was also clearly very attached to the role, admitting that it was a character that would always be a part of him since the role had given him so much. The 37-year-old started his film career with the Telugu film Eeshwar in 2002, though he says the acting was not his childhood dream. The acting bug apparently only bit him once he turned 18.
While the Baahubali 2 hangover still hangs over the box office, Prabhas is now gearing up for his next movie Saaho, which is directed by Sujeeth. The movie would be releasing in three languages Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.
