Nikhil Kumaraswamy engaged to Revathi: More guests expected to arrive

FollowBengaluru: Nikhil Kumaraswamy, son of former Karnataka CM HD Kumaraswamy and Anitha Kumaraswamy, got engaged to Revathi at a private ceremony in Bengaluru on Monday.
The couple complemented each other with matching outfits in gold and cream colours. Revathi wore a light peach and cream saree, while Nikhil donned an off-white coat with pinkish modern kurta.

The engagement was held in the presence of family members, relatives and political workers, mainly from the JD(S). It was performed as per traditional Gowda customs between 10:30 and 11:00 am, yet the engagement had the touch of modern-day practises like cake cutting.
From the film industry, Power Star Puneeth Rajkumar was spotted at the event.
Chief minister BS Yediyurappa, KS Eshwarappa and many ministers from the BJP government, Congress leaders like Siddaramiah, DK Shivakumar, KJ George, and many others are expected to grace the engagement ceremony.
The couple does not have a fairy-tale story to tell but they believed in their parents to help them find a partner.
When asked about his fiancée, Nikhil Kumaraswamy indicated that he is marrying the girl based upon the recommendation of his parents and does not know much about her at this stage. "I have not had much interaction with her as the girl is chosen by my parents," her stated.
Nikhil had earlier also requested media and people to spare his fiancé. He had stated that he has often been a victim of trolls.
"I request people to spare her. I am used to criticism and trolling, but she is innocent. Girls are sensitive and such things would affect them a lot.”
Revathi is said to have completed her master’s in computer application. Her father Manju is into the real estate business.
