The Magistrate's court in Mumbai rejected Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan's 23-year-old son Aryan Khan’s bail plea and sent him, Arbaz Merchant and 6 others to judicial custody for 14 days.

Aryan was arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on October 3 after the agency busted a drugs party onboard a cruise ship off the Mumbai coast.

Aryan Khan was supplied drugs by one of the other men arrested in the cruise ship drug bust, the anti-drugs agency said in court today as it argued against the 23-year-old being given bail.

"Investigation is of prime importance and it needs to be carried out. It benefits both accused and investigator," a judge said while extending the custody of Aryan Khan and seven others.

The court in its order stated that no further development has been made in the case and thus, those accused cannot be held as hostages. A tweet made by Bar and Bench reads, "ORDER contd: (recording submissions) ... No further development was made. Remanding the accused to police custody is serious concern and IO is required to give reasons." And the next tweet reads, "ORDER contd.: (recording submissions) ... Therefore, the accused cannot be made hostage, till the main culprit is found, they have prayed for judicial custody ... The same has been reiterated by other accused."

As per media reports, just yesterday, Aryan Khan's phone was sent for forensic examination. This came days after NCB claimed to city court that "shocking and incriminating" data was recovered from the star kid's phone which hints at an international drug racket.

While Shah Rukh and his wife Gauri Khan are yet to release a statement on the matter, Arbaaz Merchant's father who is a lawyer by profession had called the allegations against the kids "baseless". In an interview with Times Now, he had added that NCB has been cordial with the kids.
